1 - Thursday ( December 22 ) : Welcome to Israel!

  • Arrival at Ben Gurion airport - Your VIP agent will be waiting to greet you at the sleeve of the plane. After assisting with arrival procedures and collecting your baggage, you will be taken to meet your driver.

  • Welcome dinner at Itzik Hagadol - Itzik HaGadol in Jaffa, is a casual, classic Israeli grill restaurant with an amazing array of dishes: salads, vegetables, homemade loaves of bread, and so much more.

2 - Friday ( December 23 ) : Shishi Israeli

  • Continue to Levinsky Market - The Levinsky Market specializes in spices and Mediterranean delicacies. It is, in many ways, the best market in Tel Aviv, known for its variety, freshness, and special atmosphere. Whether you are looking for a rare Indian spice or some good quality saffron - this is the place. Shops offer a cornucopia of excellent cheeses, smoked fish, wines, and other delicacies. Tour the market and have "tastings" throughout.

  • Explore Florentine through an urban graffiti tour - Who are the people going out at night and changing the face of the neighborhood? What kind of story do these images and words tell us about the people living there? What is unique about graffiti in Israel and in Tel Aviv? We will walk through Florentine, the neighborhood of Tel Aviv best-known for graffiti art to answer these questions and many more in a dynamic and inquisitive tour.

3 - Saturday ( December 24 ) : The Judean Hills

  • Visit the Ayalon Institute - A clandestine ammunitions factory built in 1945 by the Haganah. In just three weeks, preparations for the factory were completed and it was code named the Ayalon Institute. Above ground, it appeared to be no more than a kibbutz. However, located eight meters below ground, this was the country's largest bullet factory. It has been said that the bullets manufactured at the Ayalon Institute played a crucial role in the success of the War of Independence.

  • Stop by the Maccabees Tomb - Go on a short hike to the Maccabees Tomb, the Jewish warriors who led a successful rebellion against Greek rule in the second century BC, but are these the real tombs? Some Archaeologists may have finally uncovered the lost tomb of the Maccabees and if you will continue a little bit, to Horvat Hagardi with your guide, you may see the final resting place of the legendary warriors!

  • Time permitting: Burma Road - Walk along the road that was formed during the Independence War as part of the struggle to break into Jerusalem and stop the siege. Their mission was to make sure Jerusalem is part of the new Jewish state.

  • Continue to Jerusalem

  • From the Haas Promenade - Take in a wide view of Jerusalem's Old and New Cities and the surrounding Judean Desert as far as the eye can see. See Jerusalem's complex geography, strategic setting, and beauty. Begin the conversation about Jerusalem's centrality to Islam, Christianity, and Islam.

4 - Sunday ( December 25 ) : Jerusalem – Holy to All

  • Lookout from the Tower of David Museum - Enjoy a bird's-eye view of the Old and New Cities, as an introduction to your day and the places you will be visiting.

  • Encompass the Old City of Jerusalem by following the Ramparts Walk - Walk on the top of the walls built by the Ottoman ruler, Sultan Suliman the Magnificent in 1536, and observe the picturesque views of both the Old City with its alleys and shrines, and the New City spreading on the surrounding mountains outside the Walls.

  • Explore what’s under the Kotel through the Kotel Tunnels Tour - The Western Wall is impressive, but its greatness is truly discovered when you descend underground to the Western Wall Tunnels. The tunnels run along approximately 488 meters (1601ft) of the Western Wall, giving visitors a taste of the challenge that stood before Herod the Great during the biggest of all his immense building projects - the expansion of the Temple Mount.

  • Quick lunch in the Old City

  • We take the time to reflect at the Western Wall – Ha Kotel Ha’Ma’aravi or simply HaKotel - Over generations, Jews came to pray here, as it was the closest they could come to the Holy of Holies on the Temple Mount. When you see the Wall, you aren't just seeing it with your eyes - there is so much more. There are thousands of years and the weight of millions of Jews there. Your eyes may just see giant bricks and people praying, but your heart sees infinitely more. What does being here mean to each of us individually and as part of the Jewish people?

5 - Monday ( December 26 ) : Memory and Life

  • Visit the museum at Yad Vashem, Israel’s National Memorial to the Holocaust - Tour this memorial to the darkest moment in world and Jewish history, its children’s memorial, and exquisite gardens. Yad Vashem is an unforgettable place of tribute and remembrance. You'll be guided by a member of the Yad Vashem staff.

  • Stop at Mount Herzl - The burial site of prominent Zionists, Israeli politicians, and others who greatly influenced the development of the state. However, the true spirit and anguish of Mount Herzl are in the vast expanse of the Israel Defense Forces’ official military cemetery in which thousands of soldiers are buried. Meet some of the famous and lesser-known people who are buried here and understand the price Israel has paid to exist.As Israel’s national cemetery, Mount Herzl is the final resting place of leaders of Zionism and Israel, including Yitzhak Rabin and Herzl himself, and of thousands of soldiers killed defending the State of Israel. At Mount Herzl you will find a moving monument to the 28,000-odd soldiers and civilians killed in combat or by terrorism since the founding of the state.

  • Kids Track: Visit the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo - The Tisch Family Zoological Gardens in Jerusalem is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places in Jerusalem. The vast grounds and beautiful landscape along with the wide selection of animals make this a MUST SEE for kids and adults.

  • Machane Yehuda market "tasting lunch" - Enjoy the hustle and bustle with all the rich fragrances, colors and sounds this market has to offer. The tour will include a stop at the legendary Azura restaurant, a family-run institution in the Iraqi section of the market, famous for its Turkish-inspired delicacies that are slow-cooked to perfection atop kerosene burners.

  • Chocolate Workshop at Ein Karem Hametuka

  • Dinner at Eucalyptus - The Eucalyptus, a modern Israeli restaurant in Jerusalem, is situated in the Artist Quarter of the city, and a stone’s throw away from the magnificent walls of old Jerusalem. Owned and led by Chef Moshe Basson, Eucalyptus serves a modern interpretation of biblical cuisine. Chef Basson’s passions for biblical culture drove him to research and resurrect recipes, spices, and local and wild herbs that were part of the traditional cuisine, and were neglected and nearly forgotten for centuries.

  • Finish the day with the Sound and Light Show! - The walls of David's Citadel serve as a stage for The Night Spectacular which is a celebration of sight and sound. Amidst the archaeological remains in the Citadel's courtyard the story of Jerusalem unfolds through giant breathtaking images.

6 - Tuesday ( December 27 ) : “L’Shomra U’L’Ovda”

  • Stop by Latrun - Latrun is of significant strategic value and was often the site of battles mentioned in the Bible. As the last British troops departed from Palestine on May 14, 1948, the British police fort was overtaken by the Jordanian Arab Legion enabling it to attack traffic on the highway from Latrun and effectively imposing a siege on Jerusalem. In 1967, Latrun was captured by Israeli forces and has since become a museum and memorial for Israel's armored corps.

  • Continue to Neot Kedumim - Neot Kedumim is the Biblical Landscape Reserve in Israel which is a unique endeavor to re-create the physical setting of the Bible in all its depth and detail. Neot Kedumim embodies the panorama and power of the landscapes that helped shape the values of the Bible and provided a rich vocabulary for expressing them. (Including lunch)

  • Travel south to the Bedouin town Rahat - And enjoy authentic Bedouin hospitality and dinner and meet Jamalat, a mother of 8 who hosts at her home. While tasting her home made delicacies, Jamalat will also share her incredible personal story with you.

7 - Wednesday ( December 28 ) : Desert Splendor

  • Jeep Tour in Mitzpe Ramon - From the top of the Atzmaut Ascent and descend into the Makhtesh and cross to Wadi Ramon. Continue to the summit of Mt. Gvanim which offers a stunning view of the entire Makhtesh and from there, along Wadi Gvanim, continue to the Ein Sahronim spring and the nearby Nabatean ruins. During the jeep tour you will have time to hike various parts of the crater.

  • Lasha Bakery - When it’s time for lunch meet Hadas Meir of the Lasha Desert Bakery who will guide you in a bread baking workshop. “For Meir, baking is a spiritual thing. ‘I think bread is a blessed food. It is the most moving interpretation of combining matter and spirit. Even physically, bread is spiritual in essence. You’ll have a lunch of salads and bread.

  • Dinner in Mitzpe Ramon - We can make suggestions and reservations

  • Optional: Star Gazing and Experience the Silence of the Desert. - Have a professional star gazing with telescopes and a local guide.

8 - Thursday ( December 29 ) : The Lowest Place on Earth

  • Travel to the Moshe Novomeiski Visitor Center, The Dead Sea - You’ll encounter a fascinating story about the vision, determination, and entrepreneurship of a Zionist pioneer with a dream to develop industry in the Land of Israel.

  • Go on the Dead Sea bike tour - Bike in the spectacular scenery of the Dead Sea. Several route options available depending on the level of the riders. Riding off-road, explore the area between the mountains and the sea in the stunning quiet landscape of the area.

  • Continue to Genesis Land - Genesis Land is situated in the heart of the Judean desert, on the way to the Dead Sea, in the land where the Patriarchs lived. A magical place, it enables visitors to experience life as it was in biblical times. Ride by camel to desert hospitality in the style of Abraham and Sarah and enjoy a delicious desert meal.

9 - Friday ( December 30 ) : Exploring the Desert

  • Masada National Park - Atop a lone rock cliff at the western end of the Judean Desert lies Masada, combining natural beauty and deep meaning. At sunrise, hike up and tour King Herod’s private fortress which, following the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple in 70 BC, became a base for a small band of Jewish zealots in revolt against the Romans. Although the rebels held their own, they were eventually overcome by siege, and according to historian Josephus, chose mass suicide over surrender. Masada has come to symbolize the fierce determination of the people of Israel, but its tragic history also raises questions about the price of freedom.

  • Hike Ein Gedi Natural Reserve - This beautiful nature reserve features Nahal David, a spectacular water hike for all ages. Trails in a range of levels of difficulty take you alongside and through the cool, fresh waters of Nahal David, down waterfalls, along jaw-dropping canyons, and past caves. If you’re both quiet and lucky, you might even glimpse the sure-footed ibex and other local animals.

  • Go on a Magical Dead Sea Boat Ride - Take a boat ride or kayak on the Dead Sea in a small group motorboat to see amazing salt formations and scenery. During this unique experience you will enjoy the wondrous muds, salt pearls, salt diamonds, water springs streaming to the sea and sink holes filled with sweet water. Learn about the ecosystem and the environmental issues connected to the Dead Sea.
    Please note: this activity is suitable for kids of the age of 4 and up.
    One boat can take up to 10 people. Others can kayak. We included a boat and kayaks at the same time.

What's the weather like in Israel?

It is always best to check the weather forecast beforehand as the weather during the Spring seasons can be unexpectedly warm or cold. From late March through May, daytime temperatures are generally very pleasant - around 65-70°F, though it can still be hot in some areas (such as the Dead Sea and Eilat). There is a slight chance of rain, but it doesn't happen often. It can be cooler in the evenings in the North and Jerusalem - approximately 45°F.

Is it safe to travel in Israel?

Yes! It is safe for you and your family to travel in Israel. There is a very low rate of street crime in Israel. But your security is of the utmost importance. Via Sabra, our tour operator, receives regular updates from Home Front Command regarding any critical updates, be it security related, or even about the weather. On the off chance there is a need to do so, we will be able to adjust our itinerary based on relevant information and recommendations.

General guide for tipping

Tips are not included in the cost of a tour and are always at your discretion. Having said that, in Israel, it is customary to add a gratuity of 15-20% at a restaurant and to tip your guide and driver. For all groups ranging from 2-6 people, it is suggested that you tip the tour guide $70 -$100 (from the group) per day. For groups larger than 8, it is recommended to tip $8-$12 per person, per day + 50% for your bus driver. Please note! Unless stated otherwise, on our group tours, the hotels, restaurants with meals included and serving staff is being generously tips by our staff - on your behalf. If you are not sure, check with your guide or operator for further details.

Terms of Payment

Deposit is due immediately to secure the booking.

Balance for the trip is due no later than 45 days prior to first day of trip.

Cancellation Policy

Bookings can be cancelled within 48 hours, with a full refund.

Should it be necessary to cancel or postpone the tour due to force majeure circumstances, or Israeli government-imposed/air flight restrictions related to COVID-19,  a full refund may be possible, minus a $200 per person service fee.

For cancellations made:

  • Up to 45 days prior to departure, any payments made above the deposit towards the tour will be refunded. The deposit is non-refundable
  • 45 to 30 days prior to departure, 50% of the total tour cost per person will be refunded
  • 29 to 8 days prior to departure, 25% of the total tour cost per person will be refunded
  • 7 to 0 days prior to departure, the client will incur 100% of the cost of the tour

Should members of a group booking cancel their participation, their deposits cannot be applied to the balance payment of other group members.

All cancellation requests must be made in writing.
