Sataf - Explore the Jerusalem Hills at the beautiful Sataf forest for a hike through the area. The Sataf is on a site of ancient agricultural terraces which date to the time of the biblical Israelites. If it’s warm enough, there’s even an option to take a dip in some of the natural springs. Along the way - forage for edible plants.
We offer 2 options of visiting the Sataf, the first one includes a short easy hike, in the second is a longer trail for more experienced in-shape hikers.

We will have the answers - and much more - on a short beautiful walk around the Sataf Nature Reserve. The water of the Sataf spring had an eminent part in the development of agriculture in ancient times, and we will discover how the Israelites were able to produce large amount of water from a modest-looking spring - for that we might have to get wet! what's the verdict? 3.2km (3.9 Miles). 141m elevation (462ft). 159m descent (521ft). -
