1 - Monday ( October 20 ) : Welcome to Israel! (on your own, no guide)

2 - Tuesday ( October 21 ) : Jewish Peoplehood and the Israeli Mosaic

  • Visit to The square of the Kidnapped and Missing in front of the Tel Aviv Art Museum - See the powerful art created by various artists, including the Shabbat Table set for 200 missing Israelis, to show support and shine a spotlight on the importance of rescuing the lives of those abducted to Gaza. (Hopefully, by the time of this mission, all of the hostages will have been released and back home with their families.)

  • ANU Museum of the Jewish People - The newly re-imagined ANU Museum of the Jewish People tells the story of the Jewish people through the generations and up to the present time. Dive into this dynamic and interactive experience that represents all parts of the Jewish people and highlights the creative works and cultural riches of a variety of communities throughout different periods of history.

  • Lunch on your own at Carmel Market (Shuk HaCarmel) (on your own) - A culinary and cultural experience in the Carmel Market (Shuk HaCarmel), the largest market in Tel Aviv. Touring the market reveals the taste of the ages of Tel Aviv in the youthful atmosphere felt here. The Polish, the Persian, and the Yemeni...in this case, it is not the opening line of a joke, but the fascinating culinary traditions that mix in this place. Founded over 90 years ago, discover the many secrets, stories, and legends of this culinary destination. Enjoy tastings throughout the tour.

  • Enjoy time to explore the local artistic spirit in Nachalat Binyamin open-air market in the heart of Tel-Aviv - It has become synonymous with quality Israeli crafts and folk art. The market comprised over 100 stands representing specialty local crafts in virtually every medium imaginable: wood, stone, glass, ceramics, and various metals, all original and handmade. The unique architecture as well as the graffiti on the walls provide a perfect backdrop for the arts and crafts market. (The market is open between 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

3 - Wednesday ( October 22 ) : Bearing Witness and Resilience

  • Stop at the Nova Festival memorial site - At Re'im Forest bear witness to the tragedy of the Nova Festival.

  • Stop at Tkuma, The Burnt Vehicles Compound - The burnt vehicles compound consists of 1,560 vehicles evacuated from the Gaza Envelope’s roads and communities in the weeks following the surprise attack on the morning of Simchat Torah, October 7th, 2023. The compound was originally established as a logistical solution providing storage to vehicles evacuated from the region’s roads, to ensure they remain clear and allowing the military forces’ operational movement. Behind every vehicle, there is a story of families, children, parents, adults and young people, who attended the Nova party or the surrounding areas.
    Each story compliments another aspect of the spirit of heroism that was revealed in all its glory, alongside the unimaginable cruelty of that terrible event.

  • BBQ Lunch at Shuva Achim Hospitality Tent - What started as a field hospital at the beginning of the war in Moshav Shuva, turned into an incredible refreshment spot for soldiers, where they give out clothes, goodies and hot meals to the soldiers serving the in the Gaza Envelope. The name "Shuva Achim" means in Hebrew return brothers (and sisters) - praying that all soldiers will return home peacefully. You will help with what is needed, meet soldiers for a casual talk and show your appreciation.

  • In Sderot and other key lookout points, stop for an in-depth discussion of the complexity of the Gaza Border situation

  • Return to Tel Aviv

5 - Friday ( October 24 ) : Latest Discoveries in Jerusalem

  • City of David - A trip back in time to where it all began four millenniums ago when King David founded and built the capital of the Kingdom of Israel, to the hill that has been continuously excavated for the last hundred and twenty years, and still most of its mysteries are yet to be discovered. Today, accompanied by an expert, you have a unique opportunity to explore the latest archaeological excavations and findings of David's Jerusalem as well as the 1st and 2nd Temple periods.

  • Lunch on your own in the Old City

  • Old City - Tour Jerusalem’s Old City. Meet people and places in the Old City. In the Jewish Quarter, uncover the layers of Jewish history from the time of the First Temple until the present day. Proceed to the Kotel (The Western Wall), sacred because it is the last remnant of the Second Temple that was destroyed by the Romans. Feel the stones that have witnessed so much in the history of the Jews. Place your special and personal prayer in the cracks of the stones.

6 - Saturday ( October 25 ) : Jerusalem Hills

Activities:

  • Begin your day and explore the Jerusalem Hills at the beautiful Sataf forest for a short hike through the area - Sataf is situated on the site of ancient agricultural terraces dating to the time of the ancient Israelites. We will walk Trail of the Baa'l and explore: who was the Baa'l, whose name appear all over the Hebrew Bible, and how come this name is synonymous with the ancient methods of farming, that are prevalent until this very day around the Hills of Jerusalem? We will have the answers - and much more - on a short beautiful walk around the Sataf Nature Reserve.

  • Lunch on your own in Ein Karem - Step into another world while you visit the quaint Ein Karem neighborhood, which is tucked into the hills of Jerusalem. This is the biblical Ein Karem village, whose name means "the spring in the vineyard." Wander through this serene neighborhood, visit impressive churches like the Church of the Visitation, explore local art galleries, and discover the village's rich cultural and religious heritage

  • Continue to Beit Guvrin-Maresha National Park - To really dig deep into the past, head to Beit Guvrin-Maresha, in the heart of The Land of Thousands of Caves, where hundreds of caves were carved as part of a huge quarry, some of which are linked by underground tunnels. Explore the underground town from the Hellenistic period, where vast spaces were excavated beneath the houses and used as storerooms, olive presses, or even columbarium hosing hundreds of pigeons. These caves later on were used as safe havens during the time of the Bar Kochba revolt against the Romans. Discover the amazing Bell Caves and don't miss out on a visit to the impressive Roman amphitheater.

Terms of Payment

Deposit is due immediately to secure the booking.

Balance for the trip is due no later than 60 days prior to the first day of trip. An invoice will be sent 90 days before the trip.

  • The itinerary is subject to change as a result of unforeseen changes from suppliers, weather, etc.
  • This proposal is valid for 1 week for private clients and 10 days for groups. 

 

Cancellation Policy

Bookings can be cancelled within 48 hours AFTER REGISTRATION, with a full refund.

For cancellations made:

·         Up to 60 days prior to departure, any payments above the deposit towards the trip will be refunded. The deposit is non-refundable.

·         60-30 days prior to departure, 50% of the total tour cost per person will be refunded.

·         29-0 days prior to departure, the client will incur 100% of the cost of the tour.

All cancellation requests must be made in writing.
