2 - Thursday ( April 27 ) : Framing the Visit

Crossroads to Civilization Museum - Starting with an overview of the Jewish community with Ross Kriel, President of the Jewish Council of the UAE, we will explore this museum, dedicated to the importance of universal values, such as tolerance and respect. This is the first ever Holocaust exhibit in the Arab world. Our host will be Ahmed Obaid Al Mansoori, a former member of the UAE Federal National Council and Founder of the museum.

Take an Abra, a traditional boat, to cross the Creek towards the Spice Market - Discover new flavors and learn about the traditional use of aromas to fend off anything from stress to insomnia. Next, take a plunge into the Gold Souk, where we will meet with a goldsmith whose trade has been passed down from generation to generation.

Lunch at Arabian Tea House - Enjoy an authentic Emirati lunch at the first authentic Emirati restaurant. It opened in 1997 and remains an oasis of peace and calm where tourists and locals come time and again, to journey back to the city’s past and explore its cultural heritage. Authentic style with turquoise benches, white rattan chairs, lace curtains and beautiful flowers, enjoy your cup of gahwa (traditional Arabic coffee) in the shade of an old tree

Terms of Payment
Deposit is due immediately to secure the booking.
Balance for the trip is due no later than 45 days prior to first day of trip.

Cancellation Policy
Bookings can be cancelled within 48 hours, with a full refund.
Should it be necessary to cancel or postpone the tour due to force majeure circumstances, or Israeli government-imposed/air flight restrictions related to COVID-19, a full refund may be possible, minus a $200 per person service fee.
For cancellations made:
- Up to 45 days prior to departure, any payments made above the deposit towards the tour will be refunded. The deposit is non-refundable
- 45 to 30 days prior to departure, 50% of the total tour cost per person will be refunded
- 29 to 8 days prior to departure, 25% of the total tour cost per person will be refunded
- 7 to 0 days prior to departure, the client will incur 100% of the cost of the tour
Should members of a group booking cancel their participation, their deposits cannot be applied to the balance payment of other group members.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing.
