2 - Tuesday (December 27) : Jerusalem Old City - On your own

  • Optional: Old City - Tour Jerusalem’s Old City. Meet people and places of the Old City. In the Jewish Quarter, uncover the layers of Jewish history from the time of the First Temple until the present day. In the Christian Quarter, visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

4 - Thursday (December 29) : Jerusalem's Museums - On your own

  • Day on your own to explore the city - Below are some of the popular museums and sites in the new city of Jerusalem

  • Yad Vashem - Visit the museum at Yad Vashem, Israel’s National Memorial to the Holocaust. Tour this memorial to the darkest moment in world and Jewish history, its children’s memorial, and exquisite gardens. Yad Vashem is an unforgettable place of tribute and remembrance.

  • Mount Herzl - As Israel’s national cemetery, Mount Herzl is the final resting place of leaders of Zionism and Israel, including Yitzhak Rabin and Herzl himself, and of thousands of soldiers killed defending the State of Israel.

  • Israel museum - Visit the unique collections and expansive grounds of the Israel Museum, the country’s national museum. Linger over the renowned international and Israeli art, the world’s most complete Judaica collections and the charming Billy Rose Sculpture Garden. 5 - Friday (December 30) : Arrival of Shabbat - On your own

  • Kabbalat Shabbat At the Kotel - Just before sundown gather at the Western Wall for a unique and inspiring experience. Watch the various, modern Jewish communities gather to usher-in Shabbat. Following ancient traditions, each community blesses the 'Sabbath Queen'.

6 - Saturday (December 31) : Along the Mediterranean Coastline

  • Caesarea National Park - On the Mediterranean coast, Caesarea National Park is one of Israel’s most impressive archeological sites. Here, amazing ancient harbor ruins, beautiful beaches, and impressive modern residences sit side by side. The city was initially built by King Herod in the 1st century BC, who dreamt of a major seaport to connect the Province of Judea with Rome. For this purpose, the king's men designed an entirely artificial harbor that was in use for about a Millennium. Caesarea became a central city in Roman and Byzantine times as can be seen from the massive archeological remains on site. View the spectacular Roman amphitheater, still used today as a performance venue, as well as the hippodrome that held 20,000 spectators for chariot races.

  • Tour the old city of Akko - The ancient city of Akko situation on the Mediterranean, is one of the oldest ports in the world, and a city shared by Jews and Muslims. Walk narrow streets past towering ramparts, deep moats, green domes, venerable synagogues, slender Muslim minarets, and secret passageways. Explore the colourful fish market.

  • Crusader City and Knights Halls - The restoration efforts of this entire complex is what makes the visit so immersive and impressive. The Fortress origianlly functioned as a hospice and hospital for
    the many pilgrims who came to the Holly Land during the crusaders period in the 12th and 13th centuries. After it was abandoned, the Ottomans filled it completely with sand in order to build above and subsequently helped to preseve the halls from decay. Meticulous efforts has returned the structures to its originaly glory, allowing visitors to gain a full sense of life during this period.

  • Rosh Hanikra - Travel to Rosh Hanikra ("Head of the Grottos"), with the stunning chalk-white cliffs at Israel’s northernmost coastal border. Enjoy the view of the Mediterranean coastline stretched out before you, then take the cable car down beneath the cliffs to the grottos below and tour the system of underground marine caves eroded by pounding waves over thousands of years.

  • Optional Stop: Buza Ice Cream - Buza, the Arabic word for ice cream, is owned and operated by Alaa Sweetat, a local Muslim and Adam Ziv, a Jew from Kibbutz Sasa. A delicious Co-Existence venture. Taste their unique flavors.

7 - Sunday (January 1) : Exploring the Golan Heights

  • Golan Heights - Explore the northern tip of Israel - the Golan Heights.

  • Ein Kshatot - Visit the site of Um el Kanatir also known as Ein Keshatot, home to a Jewish village from the Period of the Mishna and Talmud, with a magnificent synagogue in its center. The synagogue was excavated and reconstructed with advanced technological methods, and today it stands at a height of one story.

  • Banias National Park - Take a refreshing walk around the Banias, one of Israel’s most beautiful nature reserves. The Banias spring feeds into the Jordan River, the reserve’s large waterfall tumbles down a 33-foot precipice year-round, and a nearby cave houses remains of a temple to the Greek god Pan. In the wars of 1948 and 1967, when the Golan was held by Syria, the site housed a Syrian officers’ club.

  • Jeep Ride - While traversing the rich landscape, learn about the history, flora, and fauna of the area. Stop for a lookout over the border with Syria from Mt. Bental to get a better understanding of the geography and strategical roll this region has for the State of Israel. Your local guide touches on the nuances of living so close to the Syrian border and what that has meant for Israel as it relates to security and humanitarian issues.

8 - Monday (January 2) : Spiritual Safed and the Gorgeous Galilee

  • Visit Ancient Safed - Pronounced Tzfat in Hebrew, sits at a higher altitude than any other city in Israel and has been known since the 16th century as a major center of Kabbala, Jewish mysticism. The old synagogues, narrow alleyways and artists’ studios add to the hilltop city’s unmistakable charm.

  • Off-Road ATV tour - Explore the Galilee area with its scenic views, fresh air and excellent routes, and varied terrain. You'll be in the driver's seat!

  • Peki'in - According to tradition, Peki'in has maintained a Jewish presence since the Second Temple period. The elderly sole remaining member of the Zinati family cares for the ancient synagogue as best she can. Grandma Jamilla, the founder of family owned olive oil soap made from local oil and medicinal herbs is a local legend.

  • La Chocolita - Learn how chocolate is made, before testing your own skills at the Mohanna Family garden in Peki'in!

General guide for tipping

Tips are not included in the cost of a tour and are always at your discretion. Having said that, in Israel, it is customary to add a gratuity of 15-20% at a restaurant and to tip your guide and driver. For all groups ranging from 2-6 people, it is suggested that you tip the tour guide $70 -$100 (from the group) per day. For groups larger than 8, it is recommended to tip $8-$12 per person, per day + 50% for your bus driver. Please note! Unless stated otherwise, on our group tours, the hotels, restaurants with meals included and serving staff is being generously tips by our staff - on your behalf. If you are not sure, check with your guide or operator for further details.

Are medical and travel insurance necessary? Where can I purchase it?

Though we hope this will be a non-issue come April 2023, the situation regarding COVID-19 is fluid and changes often, based on what is happening across the globe. We will continue to update you regarding current guidelines. That said, as you prepare for your trip, we suggest the following:

Terms of Payment

Deposit is due immediately to secure the booking.

Balance for the trip is due no later than 45 days prior to first day of trip.

Cancellation Policy

Bookings can be cancelled within 48 hours, with a full refund.

Should it be necessary to cancel or postpone the tour due to force majeure circumstances, or Israeli government-imposed/air flight restrictions related to COVID-19,  a full refund may be possible, minus a $200 per person service fee.

For cancellations made:

  • Up to 45 days prior to departure, any payments made above the deposit towards the tour will be refunded. The deposit is non-refundable
  • 45 to 30 days prior to departure, 50% of the total tour cost per person will be refunded
  • 29 to 8 days prior to departure, 25% of the total tour cost per person will be refunded
  • 7 to 0 days prior to departure, the client will incur 100% of the cost of the tour

Should members of a group booking cancel their participation, their deposits cannot be applied to the balance payment of other group members.

All cancellation requests must be made in writing.
