We are excited about bringing the Jewish Federations of North America’s General Assembly to Israel from April 23 -26, 2023 as we celebrate Israel’s 75th Year of Independence.

We look forward to providing an authentic and immersive Israeli experience that strengthens the relationship between Israel and the Diaspora and catalyzes a truly global celebration of this important milestone – Israel’s 75th year of Independence.

Sunday, April 23rd

On Sunday evening, the GA will kick-off with a celebratory event hosted by JFNA, The Jewish Agency for Israel and Keren Hayesod, and their overlapping gatherings.

Monday, April 24th

On Monday, we will host an immersive “Leadership Lab” aimed at exploring key issues of the day facing the global Jewish community. This gathering will be open to Federation leaders and to the leaders of partner organizations.

On Monday evening, we will observe Yom Ha’Zikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day, with a special English-language experience at Latrun, the site of fierce fighting during the 1948 War of Independence. Joining us will be participants of MASA Israel Journey, an immersive experience for young Diaspora Jews.

Tuesday, April 25th

On Tuesday, as Yom Ha’Zikaron continues, we will facilitate a Mifgash experience, in which Israeli tour guides, educators, and former Shlichim will lead smaller groups on tours in their home communities and across Israel.

On Tuesday evening, we will shift to celebrating Yom Ha’Atzmaut, Israel’s 75th Birthday, with a mega Yom Ha’Atzmaut event that is open to all!

Wednesday, April 26th

The GA will conclude with a Yom Ha’Atzmaut festival that embraces local Israeli traditions, including barbecues, music, dancing, and more!

And just after the GA, on Wednesday evening, JFNA and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Mega Mission, along with other missions, will convene at the Caesarea Amphitheater for a concert to mark Israel’s milestone 75th anniversary. Enjoy a musical fete featuring some of Israel’s most well-known entertainers performing popular and iconic tunes that celebrate our diversity as a people. This night of music under the open sky and among the ancient ruins will get your heart singing and your feet moving – as we come together for an extraordinary event.
